Peter Updike, a true Florida transplant, experienced the hidden wonders found in Florida's woods, wetlands and beaches as a very small boy. His parents, Bob and Nedra Updike left the only life they ever knew, in hopes of a brighter future for their children. What they hadn't anticipated was the lifestyle Peter would embrace. Born in New York, Peter was uprooted from suburbia Long Island and planted in the heart of Southern culture and lifestyle which shaped and molded him into the man he is today. A life full of adventure, Peter refuses to yield his life to what some call progress. A true Floridian, Peter holds fast to his personal history and adventure having grown where he was planted, in Florida soil. From the citrus groves, to the cattle ranch, to the dairy farm to muck farm, flat-woods, swamps and prairies. Peter shares his life with all who love adventure and the great outdoors. Some stories are very personal and he expresses a deep passion for life and the uncertain future. Today Peter shares the good news, the love of life and the adventure of the outdoors.
